Cateechee Golf Club earned the prestigious and highly coveted Audubon Signature Sanctuary recognition due to our commitment to creating and preserving the surrounding natural environment. Cateechee successfully met Audubon’s high standards in areas of environmental planning, wildlife and habitat management, chemical use reduction, water conservation, and water quality management. In addition to the Audubon recognition, Cateechee is credited with the following:

–  At the GA/SC border take GA exit 177

–  Head south on Hwy 77 towards Hartwell

–  Drive approximately 11 miles

–  Turn left at the intersection of GA 77 and GA 51

–  Follow Hwy 51 for 2 miles into downtown Hartwell

–  Turn right onto GA 77 at the 5th light (Carter Street)

–  Drive approximately 2.5 miles

From Athens, GA

–  From the GA 10 Loop/US 129 N

–  Stay straight to go onto US 29 N

–  Stay on US 29 N

–  Take a right onto GA 51

–  Turn right onto GA 77 at the 5th light (Carter Street)

–  Drive approximately 2.5 miles

Cateechee Golf Club is a semi-private course located in the scenic foothills of Northeast Georgia, just minutes from Lake Hartwell. An elegant 40,000-square-foot clubhouse anchors this par-72 course that is open for play seven days a week. Cateechee Golf Club offers members and guests a serene escape from the hectic pace of everyday life on a course that spans 380 acres of rustic tranquility. Our on-site suites make for the perfect weekend getaway while our fitness facility, tennis courts, and spacious locker rooms round out amenities for our members.

Also located on-site is Hartwell’s award-winning restaurant, The Waterfall Grille. Open to the public for lunch and dinner, this full-service restaurant and bar is known for monthly theme nights, live entertainment, and some of the best food in the area.
